Upper Lascar Row is a fomus place selling antique, old coins, jewellery, and something out of your exceptation. It is located in Sheung Wan, near the MTR station. A girl complain about the Sin Chuan earthquake

A young girl was mad because she couldn’t play internet games online. She was complaining about the Sin Chuan earthquake. Being one of the Chinese, I feel bad about what she said, she made everyone think Chinese people are dumb like her. What a shame!

The Ten Thousand Buddhas Monastery, Hong Kong

The Ten Thousand Buddhas Monastery is located on the mountain behind Shatin Pai Tau Village nearby the KCR Shatin railway station. It consisted of five temples, four pavilions, one pagoda and one veranda. Main building of the monastery is the Ten Thousand Buddhas Temple in which over 12,800 pieces of exquisite Buddha statues each with different posture were placed on the walls. You can also enjoy the local vegetarian food in the pavilion. It is a great place to visit no matter you believe in Buddhas or not.

Repulse Bay, Hong Kong

Repulse Bay is located next to Stanley. It is one of the popular beautiful beach in Hong Kong. Except enjoy the sunshine and beautiful beach, you can also find different restaurants, bars and cafe there. There is a Chinese Garden where two grand statues of the detiies, Kwun Yum and Tin Hua are standing overlooking the bay. Kwun Yum and Tin Hua is known as the protectors of the sea-farming people. Repulse Bay is an interneting place which you can experience the traditional Chinese legend and the sun and sea.

Wong Tai Sin Temple, Hong Kong

Wong Tai Sin Temple is situated in the high-density residential area, Wong Tai Sin Temple is one of the popular temples in Hong Kong. It was built in 1921 and named after Wong Chuping. The building is surrounded by a landscaped garden with a beautiful nine-dragon wall copied from that in Beijing. Wong Tai Sin Temple is known for its fortune-telling. The fortune sticks (or lots) in Wong Tai Sin Temple are very accurate. Plus, Wong Tai Sin Temple is the only temple that offers facilities for wedding ceremonies in Hong Kong.

Hong Kong Museum of History

Hong Kong Museum of History is opened in September, 1998. The museum is located next to the Science Museum in Tsim Sha Tsui. The exhibition is related to the natural and social history of Hong Kong. There are 8 floors, you can experience the historial change floor by floor:

(3) The Dynastics: From the Han to the Qing
(4) Folk Culture in Hong Kong
(5) The Opium War & The cussion of Hong Kong

Hong Kong museum is the best place for you to know more about Hong Kong’s history and culture. The museum is well eqipped, you can find shops, cafe, restaurant and Resource Centre there. It closes on Thuesdays.

Hong Kong Space Museum

Hong Kong Space Museum is the dome-shaped building which is one of the most advanced planetarium in the world. It is equipped with Asia’s first highly advanced star projector, a 13-channel sound system and many other special projectors, producing superb audiovisual effects. The exhibition hall contains displays related to astronomy an space sciences. The museum is closed on Thursday.

Hong Kong Science Museum

Hong Kong Science Meseum is located in Tsim Sha Tsui east. There are 4 floors which display local and internetional exhibits into 4 different catagories. They are physical science, biological science, technology, and children’s world which is suited for children of 3-7 years old. Different exhibitions and events will be hold to enhance the awareness of the visitors regarding the relationship between science and technology as well as social and cultural development of our society. The entrance fee is HKD25 only. The science meseum is closed on Thursday.
